Play Therapy

Play Therapy

What is Play Therapy?

Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate way for children to express feelings, process experiences, and build skills. Guided by a trained therapist, children use toys, creativity, and imagination to process emotions, build coping skills, and support behavior in a safe and supportive environment.

Who Can We Support?

Play therapy can benefit children who may be experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or worry
  • Behavioral challenges
  • Difficulty with emotional regulation
  • Differences in social communication skills
  • Trauma or major life changes (e.g. divorce, loss, transitions)

Together We Will:

  • Learn to identify, express, and regulate emotions in healthy ways
  • Improve social skills such as turn-taking, cooperation, and problem-solving
  • Process difficult experiences and support emotional healing through play
  • Build coping strategies to manage anxiety, frustration, and life transitions
  • Strengthen self-esteem, confidence, and independence
