What is Play Therapy?
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate way for children to express feelings, process experiences, and build skills. Guided by a trained therapist, children use toys, creativity, and imagination to process emotions, build coping skills, and support behavior in a safe and supportive environment.
Who Can We Support?
Play therapy can benefit children who may be experiencing:
- Anxiety, stress, or worry
- Behavioral challenges
- Difficulty with emotional regulation
- Differences in social communication skills
- Trauma or major life changes (e.g. divorce, loss, transitions)
Together We Will:
- Learn to identify, express, and regulate emotions in healthy ways
- Improve social skills such as turn-taking, cooperation, and problem-solving
- Process difficult experiences and support emotional healing through play
- Build coping strategies to manage anxiety, frustration, and life transitions
- Strengthen self-esteem, confidence, and independence
